Otto Lab

Accessibility

Otto Lab should work for everybody who uses it, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or zoomed-in text.

Last updated October 21, 2026. Otto Lab is operated by Andrew's Ecommerce LLC. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@ottolab.io.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most accessibility law and guidance points to. That covers things like text that screen readers can read, every control reachable from the keyboard, enough contrast between text and background, and form fields that say what they are for.

How we checked

On September 24, 2026, we tested the site with axe, a widely used automated accessibility checker, against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA. We tested the homepage, these policy pages, sign-in, account creation, and the main screens inside the app: your brands, a brand, and Settings.

  • The homepage and policy pages passed with no issues found.
  • On October 21, 2026, after the homepage was rebuilt, we checked it and the policy pages again with the same rules. The homepage passed. Links inside the policy pages' sentences stood out by color alone, so we made them heavier too, the same day.
  • The app screens had no WCAG failures. The checker found that each screen was missing a top-level heading and a marked main area, which screen readers use to jump around a page. We fixed both the same day.

Automated checks find a large share of problems but not all of them. We have not yet had the app tested by people who rely on assistive technology, and that is the next step.

What we know is not there yet

  • Work the AI writes for you. Ad copy, page code and Static concepts are written by an AI model. They are drafts for you to review, and they are not checked for accessibility. If you publish them, check them as you would anything else you put on your own site.
  • Previews of generated pages. When a pipeline writes a web page, the preview in the app shows the page as written, except that outside fonts, scripts and most outside images do not load there. The preview can have the same accessibility gaps as the page itself.
  • Pages run by other companies. Signing in with Google and paying through our checkout partner happen on their pages. We do not control how accessible those pages are.

Tell us about a problem

If anything here is hard to use with the way you browse, email hello@ottolab.io and say which page and what went wrong. We read every message and will reply. If something is blocking you from using what you paid for, we will help you get it done another way while we fix it.
